At BAU 2017, sedak presents a trade fair highlight: the new IGU product line „sedak isomax” with a U-value up to 0.23 W/m²K. The double and triple insulating glass units are available in up to 3.2m x 16m, dimensions typical of the manufacturer. The product line is combinable with all common façade systems. Therefore, glass façades with minimal thermal loss can be realized easily.
sedak stands for oversize insulating and safety glass up to 16 m in premium quality. Since „big” is not only a question of dimensions, the glass manufacturer from Gersthofen focuses on perfection in detail at the BAU 2017. What that means for glass, sedak shows with four large exhibits in hall C2, stand 100.
The glass manufacturer sedak has released a new quality handbook. It defines the manufacturing tolerances and is the basis for the visual assessment of sedak products. Besides the standards, regulations and data sheets mentioned in the handbook, order-specific tolerances are determined especially due to the current technical production capabilities.
With a customized inloader, sedak optimizes the handling of oversize glass. The new 23m long inloader now delivers glass units up to 16m. The steerable rear axle which allows the truck to drive through narrow curves such as roundabouts is the key feature of the mega trailer. Due to its space-saving interior concept, no escort vehicle is required.

An unusual use of sedak’s autoclave: Instead of oversize glass laminates, now a racing car chassis hardened in the pressure chamber. sedak, thus, sponsors the up-and-coming racing team “Starkstrom Augsburg”. 2016 will be the fifth time, the crew takes part in the “Formula Student Germany” competition.
Since 2015, sedak fabricates oversize insulating glass with the world’s largest, 145m long insulating glass line. It enables the glass manufacturer to produce double and triple units up to 15m, fully automated and in a reproducible quality.
With its new AutomationCenter, FESTO AG & Co. KG (Esslingen) has entered into a new era. The highly modern sixteen-floor building offers 400 members of staff space for innovation and the development of new customer solutions. The high-rise building with its rhombic cross-section is an architectural highlight that also has impressive “inner qualities”.
